Kenny Agostino scored four goals and assisted on another as the Chicago Wolves recorded a 5-2 win over the Iowa Wild in a New Year’s Eve tilt in Des Moines.

Agostino finishes the 2016 portion of the Wolves’ schedule with a league-best 43 points in 34 games, including 15 points during his current seven-game scoring streak.

The four goals on Saturday marked the second such game in the AHL this season, and Agostino was the first AHL player to post five points in a contest in 2016-17.

Ivan Barbashev added a goal and three assists and Andrew Agozzino chipped in three assists as Chicago’s top line combined for 12 points in the win.

Agostino, a third-year pro, was his team’s leading scorer in both 2014-15 (Adirondack Flames) and 2015-16 (Stockton Heat). The Yale University product signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Blues in July.
