AHL announces front-office additions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced today that Tina Mansinghani has been named Coordinator of Analytics, Team Business Services and Sean Smith has been namedCoordinator of Marketing Services for the AHL. 

Mansinghani joins the American Hockey League following three seasons with the Central Hockey League. She has also worked in team front offices within the CHL, the National Hockey League and the National Football League. Mansinghani holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Texas A&M International University, and a master’s in business administration from Grand Canyon University. 

Smith comes to the AHL after having received a degree in sport management from Springfield College, where he also played varsity baseball. Smith has worked as a tournament assistant for the SAS Championship event on the PGA Tour’s Champions Tour, and assisted the AHL in managing the 2013 AHL All-Star Classic in Providence, R.I. 

In operation since 1936, the AHL continues to serve as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. More than 88 percent of today’s NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and for the 13th year in a row, more than 6 million fans attended AHL games across North America in 2013-14.
