AHL announces front-office additions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced today that Jonathan Forsberg has been named Manager of Team Business Services and Alyssa Dombrowski has been named Coordinator of Digital Media and Communications for the AHL.

Forsberg comes to the AHL after four seasons as an account executive with the Worcester Sharks, where his responsibilities included managing the team’s inside sales staff and selling season and group tickets. A native of West Boylston, Mass., Forsberg earned a degree in sport management from Springfield College.

Dombrowski joins the AHL having most recently worked in the communications department for Quicken Loans Arena’s primary tenants: the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers, the AHL’s Lake Erie Monsters and the AFL’s Cleveland Gladiators. The native of Brecksville, Ohio, graduated with honors from Ohio State University with degrees in strategic communications and Spanish.

In operation since 1936, the AHL continues to serve as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. More than 87 percent of today’s NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and for the 12th year in a row, more than 6 million fans attended AHL games across North America in 2012-13.
