AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Texas Stars forward Samuel Laberge has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game at Manitoba on Feb. 9.

Laberge was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 21.1 after being assessed a match penalty. He missed Texas’s game Sunday (Feb. 10) at Manitoba and will also miss Texas’s game Tuesday (Feb. 12) at Rockford.
