AHL announces suspensions

The American Hockey League announced today that Edmonton Road Runners defenseman Rocky Thompson has been suspended for five (5) regular season games, while Edmonton goaltender Tyler Moss and St. John’s Maple Leafs right wing Jason MacDonald have each been suspended for one (1) regular season game as a result of their actions in a January 10, 2005, AHL game in Edmonton.

Both Thompson and MacDonald will miss tonight’s game between St. John’s and Edmonton in Edmonton.

In addition, Thompson will also miss the Road Runners’ next four regular season games: Sat., Jan. 15 and Sun., Jan. 16 at San Antonio; Wed., Jan. 19 at Houston and Fri., Jan. 21 versus Manitoba.

Moss will serve his suspension during Edmonton’s game on Sat., Jan. 15 at San Antonio.
