AHL announces suspensions

The American Hockey League announced today that Utah Grizzlies center Jeff Taffe has been suspended for four (4) regular season games and Houston Aeros defenseman John Erskine has been suspended for one (1) regular season game as a result of their actions in a November 28, 2004 AHL game in Houston.

Taffe will miss Utah’s game tonight and Wed., Dec. 1 both versus Chicago in addition to missing games on Fri., Dec. 3 at Cleveland and Sat., Dec. 4 at Grand Rapids.

Erskine will miss Houston’s next game on Thur., Dec. 2 versus Rochester.

The AHL also announced that Bridgeport Sound Tigers right wing Jim Campbell has been suspended for three (3) regular season games as a result of receiving a match penalty in a November 27 AHL game in Worcester.

Campbell will miss Bridgeport’s next three regular season games: Wed., Dec. 1 versus Norfolk; Fri., Dec. 3 versus Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Sat., Dec. 4 versus Lowell.
