AHL announces suspensions

The American Hockey League announced today that Philadelphia Phantoms defenseman Freddy Meyer has been suspended for two (2) regular season games as a result of his actions in a November 13, 2004 AHL game in Binghamton.

Meyer will miss Philadelphia’s next two games: Wed., Nov. 17 versus Binghamton and Fri., Nov. 19 versus Bridgeport.

The AHL also announced that Syracuse Crunch center Alexander Svitov has been suspended for one (1) regular season game as a result of his actions in a November 14, 2004 AHL game in Binghamton.

Svitov will miss Syracuse’s next game on Friday, November 19 versus Hamilton.
