AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

San Jose Barracuda forward Zack Stortini has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of a kneeing incident in a game at Stockton on Apr. 8.

Stortini was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss San Jose’s games tonight (Apr. 11) and Thursday (Apr. 13) vs. Tucson.

Grand Rapids Griffins defenseman Dan Renouf has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions in a game at Cleveland on Apr. 9.

Renouf received an automatic one-game suspension under the provisions of AHL Rule 23.3 for accumulating his third game misconduct in the “general” category this season. He will miss Grand Rapids’ game Wednesday (Apr. 12) vs. Charlotte.
