AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Cleveland Monsters forward Justin Scott has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game at Toronto on Mar. 2.

Scott was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Cleveland’s games Thursday (Mar. 7) and Friday (Mar. 8) vs. Belleville.

Rochester Americans forward Remi Elie has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game vs. Syracuse on Mar. 3.

Elie was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). He will miss Rochester’s game Friday (Mar. 8) vs. Bridgeport.
