AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced the following suspensions:

Rochester Americans left wing Jack Nevins has been suspended for three (3) games as a consequence of his actions in a game vs. Hartford on Dec. 18.

Nevins was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline) for leaving the players’ bench on a legal line change for the purpose of starting an altercation. He will miss Rochester’s games tonight (Dec. 19) vs. Albany, Dec. 26 vs. Utica and Dec. 27 vs. Hartford.

Hershey Bears left wing Liam O’Brien has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his match penalty for an illegal check to the head of an opponent in a game at Lehigh Valley on Dec. 18.

He will miss Hershey’s game tonight (Dec. 19) vs. Toronto.
