AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Chicago Wolves right wing Cody Beach has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of an interference incident and San Antonio Rampage defenseman Shane O’Brien has been suspended for two (2) games as a consequence of a charging incident, both occurring in a game between the teams on Dec. 9.

Both suspensions were assessed under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline).

Beach will miss Chicago’s games Wednesday (Dec. 17) vs. Adirondack and Dec. 20 vs. Iowa.

O’Brien, who was recalled by the NHL’s Florida Panthers on Thursday, will miss the next two games for which he is active on an AHL club roster.
