AHL announces suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Albany Devils defenseman Seth Helgeson has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of an elbowing incident in a game at Worcester on Jan. 23. 

Helgeson was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). 

Helgeson will miss Albany’s game Thursday (Jan. 29) at Lehigh Valley.

The American Hockey League today announced that Oklahoma City Barons center Travis Ewanyk has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of an interference incident in a game at Charlotte on Jan. 23. 

Ewanyk was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 28.1 (supplementary discipline). 

Ewanyk will miss Oklahoma City’s game Friday (Jan. 30) vs. Lake Erie.
