SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Syracuse Crunch left wing Kevin Harvey has been suspended for a total of five (5) games as a result of his actions in games last weekend.
Harvey received four (4) games for a blow to the head of an opponent during a game vs. Rochester on Nov. 6, and one (1) game for a slashing incident during a game vs. Norfolk on Nov. 7. Both suspensions were levied under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline).
Harvey will miss Syracuse’s games on Wednesday (Nov. 11) vs. Albany, Friday (Nov. 13) vs. Providence, Saturday (Nov. 14) at Hamilton, Nov. 18 at Albany and Nov. 20 at Rochester.
The AHL also announced that Bridgeport Sound Tigers right wing Pascal Morency has been suspended for five (5) games as a result of his actions in a game vs. Hartford on Nov. 7.
Morency was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline) for leaving the players’ bench on a legal line change for the purpose of starting an altercation.
Morency will miss Bridgeport’s games Friday (Nov. 13) at Springfield, Saturday (Nov. 14) at Adirondack, Sunday (Nov. 15) vs. Portland, Nov. 20 at Abbotsford and Nov. 21 at Abbotsford.
