Providence hosts Hershey in Game 4 of the Atlantic Division Finals less than 24 hours after falling behind two games to one… Former P-Bruin Chris Bourque scored twice, including the winner 7:14 into overtime, as the Bears took Game 3 last night, 2-1… For Bourque (4-2-6), it was the seventh two-goal game of his AHL playoff career and came in his 129th postseason game, which moves him into sole possession of second place all-time behind only current Bears vice president of hockey operations Bryan Helmer (159)… Hershey was outshot 40-15 in last night’s game, but got 39 saves from Pheonix Copley (5-3, 2.06, .933) to improve to 4-0 on the road this postseason… Travis Boyd (1-4-5) assisted on both Hershey goals, giving him five points in the last two games after being held scoreless over his first six outings of the playoffs… The Bears were 2-for-5 on the power play in Game 3 and are 3-for-6 since starting the postseason 0-for-18… Chris Casto (1-3-4) scored for the Bruins last night, his first goal in 27 career Calder Cup Playoff games… Zane McIntyre (4-4, 2.17, .929) made 13 saves, and has now allowed two regulation goals or fewer in seven of his eight playoff starts… The Bruins have been outshot 93-77 in the first period of their seven playoff games, but have outscored their opponents 9-0.

San Jose takes its 2-1 series lead into Game 4 tonight at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego… Timo Meier (3-3-6) scored 17:40 into overtime on Wednesday night as the Barracuda came from behind for a 4-3 victory in Game 3, ending a seven-game losing streak in visits to San Diego… San Jose erased three separate one-goal deficits in regulation, forcing OT on an extra-attacker goal by Daniel O’Regan (3-2-5) with 1:01 remaining… Kevin Labanc (2-2-4) scored his first goal since Game 1 of the first round vs. Stockton, and Colin Blackwell (1-0-1) added a goal for his first career playoff point… Ryan Carpenter (6-5-11) notched an assist for his league-leading 11th point of the postseason… Troy Grosenick (5-3, 2.38, .910) turned aside 32 of 35 shots in the win… Spencer Abbott (1-5-6) tallied a goal and two assists for the Gulls in Game 3, his first appearance of the series… Max Jones (1-1-2), Anaheim’s first-round pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, recorded his first two professional points with a goal and an assist, and Sam Carrick (3-2-5) scored to extend his scoring streak to four games… Jhonas Enroth (4-4, 2.49, .930) made 45 saves in Game 3, an AHL career high… San Jose has won back-to-back games for the first time since a three-game winning streak from Mar. 31 to Apr. 5.

May 12, 2009Michal Neuvirth becomes the first goaltender in AHL history to record shutouts in Games 6 and 7 of a series, leading Hershey to the conference finals with a 3-0 win over Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

May 12, 1998Dan Cloutier makes 52 saves, Derek Armstrong scores and Marc Savard adds two assists as Hartford keeps its season alive with a 4-1 win at Worcester in Game 6 of their division final series.

May 12, 1988 – Hershey defeats Fredericton, 4-2, to complete a perfect 12-0 postseason and win the Calder Cup.
