A couple of teams struggling for goals and wins meet as Hamilton and Binghamton take to Scotiabank Place in Ottawa for an afternoon contest… The Senators have scored eight goals during their current six-game winless streak (0-5-0-1); the Bulldogs have scored 10 goals in their last seven (1-5-1-0), and are coming off an 8-0 loss to Grand Rapids on Friday night… Hamilton ranks tied for fifth in the AHL on the power play, scoring 12 goals in 48 chances (25.0 percent)… Mike Hoffman leads the Sens in scoring with 4-6-10 on the season.

St. John’s scored five unanswered goals, including three in a span of 2:17 between the end of the second period and the start of the third, to take an 8-4 win over Connecticut last night… The IceCaps head into this afternoon’s rematch having won five in a row and with 27 goals scored during the streak… Jason Jaffray (7-5-12) recorded a hat trick, Carl Klingberg (8-4-12) had a goal and two assists and Spencer Machacek (2-10-12) tallied three assists to lead St. John’s… Edward Pasquale (6-0-0, 2.15, .922) made 26 saves to keep his record perfect on the season… Former St. John’s Maple Leaf John Mitchell scored twice in the loss for the Whale… Connecticut is 7-2-1-2 in its last 12 games, with both regulation losses coming at the hands of the IceCaps.

Worcester wraps up a three-game home weekend as Providence makes its first visit of the year to the DCU Center… The Sharks lost, 2-1, to Manchester last night, falling to 1-3-0-1 in their last five… Tommy Wingels scored his first goal of the season for Worcester last night… Sharks goalie Tyson Sexsmith ranks second in the AHL with a 1.80 GAA, but his record fell to 2-2-2 after last night’s defeat… Kirk MacDonald and Carter Camper had a goal and an assist each in Providence’s 4-2 loss in Portland last night… MacDonald’s goal was his first of the season and ended a 21-game drought going back to last season.

Toronto visits Albany this afternoon, the Marlies’ first visit to the Times Union Center since Oct. 31, 2007, and the first meeting between AHL affiliates of the Maple Leafs and Devils since the Albany River Rats visited the St. John’s Maple Leafs on Feb. 8, 2003… Albany is 7-1-0-1 in its last nine games and has pulled into a three-way tie with Adirondack and Connecticut atop the Northeast Division… Jeff Frazee made 20 saves in a 1-0 Devils win at Syracuse last night, his eighth career AHL shutout… Nathan Perkovich scored the only goal for Albany last night, his first since Apr. 1, 2011… Toronto is 1-4-1-1 in its last seven games after a 5-1-1-0 start to the season… Mike Zigomanis scored the only Marlies goal in last night’s 2-1 shootout loss at Adirondack.

After a pair of losses at home to Abbotsford, Texas wraps up its weekend with a visit to San Antonio this afternoon… The Stars lost in a shootout on Friday before falling 3-1 last night, Jordie Benn scoring the only Texas goal in the loss… Matt Fraser (9-4-13) ranks second among all AHL rookies in goals and tied for fourth in points… The Rampage have lost seven of their last eight, including a 4-0 loss to the Stars last Sunday… Bracken Kearns scored for San Antonio in Friday’s 4-1 loss at Lake Erie, and has 2-2-4 in his last five games.

Bridgeport heads to Hershey this evening for the first of four meetings this season between the teams… The Sound Tigers opened up a four-goal lead and held on for a 4-3 win in Springfield last night… Calvin de Haan scored his first professional goal and David Ullstrom scored for a fifth straight game in the win… Hershey had a three-game home win streak snapped in a 5-4 overtime loss to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday… Keith Aucoin (4-15-19) had a goal and an assist on Friday and is tied for second in the league in scoring… The assist was the 510th of his AHL career, tying Bill Sweeney for eighth place all-time… The Sound Tigers have lost their last eight visits to Giant Center, by a combined score of 43-18.

After its six-game winning streak was snapped last night, Oklahoma City visits Milwaukee for their first meeting of the season… The Barons head to the Bradley Center having won five in a row on the road… Gilbert Brule has 3-4-7 in his last six games for Oklahoma City… Milwaukee was doubled up by Chicago, 6-3, last night… Rookie Michael Latta scored twice in the loss, and Roman Josi had an assist in his season debut… The Admirals are 6-for-20 (30.0 percent) on the power play on home ice… The Barons are outscoring their opponents 13-4 in third periods this season.

A long nine-game road stretch ends tonight as Charlotte visits Houston in the fourth and final meeting of the season between the teams… The Checkers, 5-3-0-0 on the trek to date, are coming off a 3-2 win in Oklahoma City last night… Brett Sutter had a goal and an assist in last night’s victory… The Aeros have lost two straight since an 8-1-0-3 start, and are 2-0-0-1 vs. Charlotte… Jeff Taffe has points in five straight games for Houston (2-6-8), and 11 of his 14 points overall this season have come on the power play.
