Toronto at St. John’s face off again tonight at Mile One Centre… The Marlies bagged a 4-3 win last night on Jeff Finger‘s goal with 28.7 seconds left in overtime… Nazem Kadri led Toronto with two goals and two assists on the game, giving him 3-11-14 in 12 games for the Marlies… Mark Owuya (4-1-1, 1.73, .937) made 29 saves in the win… Jason King, Jason DeSantis and Travis Ramsey scored for the IceCaps, who have earned points in 16 of their first 19 games (12-3-4-0)… No visiting team has swept a two-game trip to St. John’s in five tries this season.

Albany makes its first trip of the season up the Northway to take on Adirondack tonight… The Devils had their eight-game points streak (6-0-1-1) snapped in a 4-2 loss at Rochester last night… Alexander Urbom and Darcy Zajac scored for Albany, and Jeff Frazee stopped 30 of 34 shots… Adirondack defeated Springfield last night, 5-1, and now sits two points out of first place in the Northeast Division, one point up on the Devils… Shane Harper scored twice and Tom Sestito and Brayden Schenn notched a goal and an assist apiece for the Phantoms, who are 5-2-0-1 at the Glens Falls Civic Center this season… Michael Leighton made 43 saves last night for career AHL win number 149.

Connecticut heads up Interstate 91 to battle Springfield tonight… The Whale had a three-game winning streak snapped in a 6-2 loss to Bridgeport last night, but remain first in the Northeast Division… The Falcons are tied for fourth in the division, but trail Connecticut by just three points… Jonathan Audy-Marchessault had a goal and an assist and Kelsey Tessier scored in last night’s Whale loss; four of Connecticut’s five regulation losses this season have been by three goals or more… Springfield lost at Adirondack last night, 5-1, with Matt Calvert scoring the only Falcons goal with 3:21 left in regulation… Connecticut has beaten Springfield twice this season, sweeping a home-and-home Oct. 22-23.

Portland and Worcester move to the DCU Center tonight after the Pirates’ 4-3 overtime win in Cumberland County last night… Tyler Eckford scored twice for Portland, including the game-winner on a power play at 3:19 of overtime, as the Pirates improved to 5-0-0-1 in their last six games… Andy Miele (7-11-18) added two goals and an assist and Brett MacLean chipped in two assists for the Pirates, and Curtis McElhinney stopped 44 of 47 shots… Worcester’s goals came from Benn Ferriero, Curt Gogol and Tommy Wingels, but the Sharks dropped to 1-3-3-0 in their last seven… Worcester is 0-2-1-1 this season when registering at least 40 shots on goal in a game.

Bridgeport opens a home-and-home with Manchester by visiting the Verizon Wireless Arena tonight… The Sound Tigers were 6-2 winners over Connecticut last night, while the Monarchs were off… Bridgeport’s six goals were a season high… Tim Wallace scored twice and Jeremy Colliton added a goal and two assists as Bridgeport moved to within one point of the first-place Whale in the Northeast Division… Manchester extended its winning streak to four games with a 2-1 win over Worcester on Wednesday night, getting goals from Ray Kaunisto and Marc-Andre Cliche… The Monachs have also won four straight home games, and are one point ahead of third-place Portland in the Atlantic Division.

Lake Erie makes its only appearance of the season at Giant Center to face off with Hershey tonight… The Monsters posted a 5-1 home win over Hamilton last night, improving to 4-0-0-1 in their last five games… Cedrick Desjardins (5-2-1) made his sixth consecutive start and turned aside 21 shots, and now leads the AHL in both goals-against average (1.62) and save percentage (.948)… Brad Malone led Lake Erie with a goal and two assists last night… Hershey pulled out a 3-2 shootout win at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last night, and is now two points behind the first-place Penguins in the East Division… Ryan Potulny scored his first two goals as a Bear last night and also converted on his shootout attempt.

Milwaukee puts its AHL-record road points streak to the test with two games in Charlotte this weekend, beginning tonight at the Time Warner Cable Arena… The Admirals are 6-0-0-1 away from home this season and 16-0-4-3 in their last 23 regular-season road games… Milwaukee enters the weekend three points behind the first-place Checkers in the Midwest Division, although the Admirals have four games in hand… Juuso Puustinen (4-2-6) and Ryan Ellis (1-3-4) both bring four-game scoring streaks into tonight’s game for Milwaukee… Charlotte’s Jerome Samson had two goals and an assist in Wednesday’s 6-3 win at Norfolk… Chris Terry recorded three assists, giving him 0-7-7 in his last five contests… The Checkers are 5-1-0-1 at home this season.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton heads to Binghamton for an East Division tilt against the Senators tonight… The Penguins’ winless streak reached five games (0-2-0-3) with a 3-2 shootout loss to Hershey last night, but the Pens are still first in the division with a 10-5-1-4 record, and they head to Broome County with an 8-1-0-2 road mark… Ben Street and Nick Petersen scored for Wilkes-Barre last night, with Petersen’s goal tying the game at 18:44 of the third period… Binghamton lost 4-1 in Syracuse last night, ending a two-game winning streak… Craig Schira scored his first goal of the season for the Senators and Robin Lehner made 38 saves.

Norfolk ran off with a 5-1 win over Providence last night; the teams collide again tonight at Scope Arena… Eleven Admirals found the scoresheet last night, and Pierre-Cedric Labrie (1-1-2) was the only one to notch more than one point… Blair Jones made his return to Norfolk after spending the first seven weeks of the season in the NHL with Tampa Bay, and scored a goal 7:34 into the game… Dustin Tokarski made 17 saves as Norfolk finished with a 44-18 advantage in shots… Jamie Tardif scored the only goal for Providence as the Bruins’ winless streak reached five games (0-4-0-1)… Tardif has scored five goals in his last five games.

Hamilton visits Rochester to close out a three-game road trip around the Great Lakes… The Bulldogs lost in Grand Rapids on Wednesday before dropping a 5-1 decision to Lake Erie in Cleveland last night… Louis Leblanc scored the only goal for the Bulldogs, his fourth of the year… Rochester was a 4-2 winner over Albany last night, as Jacob Lagace, Shaone Morrisonn and Colin Stuart all contributed a goal and an assist for the Americans… Rochester, 7-3-0-1 at home this season, remains four points out of first place in the North Division… Hamilton is 3-0-0-0 against Rochester this season, but 3-10-1-1 against the rest of the AHL.

Peoria heads to the Allstate Arena in Rosemont tonight in the first of two games to continue a nine-game road swing… The Rivermen were on the short end of a 7-3 score in Rockford last night, their third straight loss after beginning the trip with three consecutive wins… Phil McRae, Brett Sonne and Shaun Heshka scored for Peoria last night… Chicago, which has won six of its last eight, has been off since Wednesday’s 3-2 victory at Texas… Matt Climie made 40 saves to preserve that win and Kevin Connauton notched a goal and an assist, giving him 4-2-6 in the last four games.

Houston and Texas wrap up a home-and-home series with a game in Cedar Park tonight… The Stars pulled out a 2-1 overtime win in Houston last night on former Aero Maxime Fortunus‘s goal at 4:23 of OT… Jed Ortmeyer forced overtime with his goal at 19:14 of the third period, ending the Aeros’ scoreless streak at 126:33… Texas will be trying to snap a four-game home winless streak (0-3-0-1), while Houston will be looking to extend its five-game points streak (2-0-2-1)… The Aeros, 6-1-0-1 on the road this season, sit one point behind West Division co-leaders Abbotsford and Oklahoma City entering play.

Coming off a 7-3 win over Peoria, Rockford welcomes Oklahoma City to the BMO Harris Bank Center tonight… The Barons held on for a 5-4 win in Grand Rapids last night to claim a share of first place in the West Division… Peter LeBlanc and Brandon Pirri scored twice each for the IceHogs last night, Andrew Shaw and Brandon Segal had a goal and two assists each and Ryan Stanton recorded three helpers as Rockford scored seven of the final eight goals after falling behind 2-0 early… Pirri has now recorded five straight multi-point games (6-5-11)… Teemu Hartikainen and Curtis Hamilton had a goal and an assist apiece in Oklahoma City’s win last night… Philippe Cornet broke a tie for the league lead with his 13th goal of the year… The Barons have won seven of their nine road games this season.
