Both a point of first place in their respective divisions, Hershey and Adirondack meet for the first time this season at the Glens Falls Civic Center tonight… The East Division’s Bears coughed up a 3-0 lead and dropped a 4-3 overtime decision in Springfield last night… Jacob Micflikier, Garrett Mitchell and Chris Bourque scored for Hershey… Adirondack is coming off a 4-2 loss to Connecticut last night, with Eric Wellwood and Harry Zolnierczyk scoring the Phantoms’ goals… The Phantoms trail Connecticut by a point in the Northeast Division.

Off last night after a 3-2 overtime win vs. Rochester on Thursday, Hamilton heads to the Times Union Center to take on Albany tonight… This is the first ever meeting between the Bulldogs and the Devils franchise (which played in Lowell from 2006-10), and Hamilton’s first visit to Albany since a 1-0 win over the River Rats on Nov. 1, 2006… Louis Leblanc, Montreal’s first-round pick (18th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, made his professional debut for the Bulldogs on Thursday and recorded three points, scoring the winning goal at 2:28 of overtime… Albany lost a 4-2 decision to Binghamton last night despite taking 44 shots on goal.

Bridgeport goes for its first home win of the season as Providence invades the Webster Bank Arena tonight… The Sound Tigers lost in overtime, 3-2, to Worcester last night, falling to 0-2-1-0 at home this season… Tony Romano and Ty Wishart scored their first goals of the year for Bridgeport, and Mikko Koskinen made 28 saves… The Bruins were doubled up at home, 4-2, by Norfolk last night, with Craig Cunningham and Stefan Chaput scoring for the B’s… The loss ended Providence’s five-game points streak (4-0-1-0).

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton looks to wrap up a perfect four-game road swing with a win in Manchester tonight… The Penguins have already won consecutive games in Springfield, Hershey and Syracuse, knocking off the Crunch 5-3 last night… All four of the Pens’ wins this season have come on the road, where they are 4-0-0-0 overall… Nick Petersen and Jason Williams each had a goal and an assist for Wilkes-Barre last night… Manchester snapped a five-game losing streak with a 5-2 win in Portland last night, as Marc-Andre Cliche, Richard Clune and Jordan Hill scored in the third period.

St. John’s begins a six-game, nine-day New England road trip in Springfield tonight… The IceCaps sit atop the Atlantic Division at 5-2-1-0, and are away from home for the first time since wins in Providence and Manchester to open the season Oct. 7-8… The Falcons scored four unanswered goals to defeat Hershey, 4-3, in overtime last night… Dane Byers, Tomas Kubalik and Cam Atkinson scored power-play goals to erase a 3-0 deficit, and Ryan Russell netted the game-winner 3:04 into OT.

The two best records in the Eastern Conference collide as Connecticut — with four straight wins and points in seven in a row (5-0-0-2) — visits Worcester (4-0-0-1) tonight in the teams’ first meeting of the season… The Whale are 11-3-0-2 at the DCU Center since the start of the 2007-08 season… Connecticut got goals from Jordan Owens (2), John Mitchell and Sean Avery in last night’s 4-2 win over Adirondack… Harri Sateri made 33 saves and Sean Sullivan scored the winning goal in Worcester’s 3-2 overtime victory over Bridgeport last night… Connecticut’s Chad Johnson was 3-1-1 (1.92, .924) in five appearances again Worcester last season.

The cities’ rivalry in the AHL goes back to 1977, but tonight is the first time that Binghamton hosts Rochester as defending Calder Cup champions… The Senators have won four of their last five games, earning their first home victory of the season with a 4-2 decision over Albany last night… Mike Hoffman scored the tie-breaking goal with 5:18 left in regulation to defeat the Devils, and Robin Lehner stopped 42 of 44 shots before being recalled by Ottawa this morning… The Americans are winless in their last four games (0-1-2-1), most recently a 3-2 overtime loss to Hamilton on Thursday.

Norfolk continues its road trek in Syracuse tonight following a 4-2 win at Providence last night… Carter Ashton had a goal and an assist for the Admirals and continues to lead all AHL rookies in scoring with 13 points and is tied for the overall goal-scoring lead with eight… The Crunch are coming off a 5-3 loss to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last night, dropping to 4-2-1-1 and three points behind first-place Norfolk in the East Division… Rookie Peter Holland (2-3-5) scored his first two goals of the year for Syracuse last night… The Crunch won all four home meetings with the Admirals in 2010-11.

Texas and Chicago open their season series at Allstate Arena tonight… Texas has won seven straight meetings with Chicago, including a six-game sweep of last year’s season series and Game 7 of their 2010 playoff matchup… The Stars lost a 5-3 game in Peoria on Thursday night… Texas is 15-for-39 on the power play (38.5 percent) this season; Stars rookie Matt Fraser (7-2-9) leads the AHL with five power-play goals on the year, more than seven entire teams have scored so far… The Wolves (2-4-0-2) have scored more than two goals in a game just once this season, and are coming off a 2-1 loss to Milwaukee last night… Nathan Longpre scored his first pro goal in his Wolves debut last night.

After a four-game road stretch, Milwaukee brings its 5-0-0-1 record back home to face Grand Rapids tonight… The Admirals got goals from Juuso Puustinen and Ryan Thang and 27 saves from Jeremy Smith in last night’s 2-1 win in Chicago… Excluding shootouts, Milwaukee goaltenders Smith and Atte Engren have stopped 150 of 158 shots in six games (1.30, .949)… Grand Rapids lost a 5-1 decision to Abbotsford last night, with team scoring leader Chris Conner (4-6-10) scored the Griffins’ only goal.

After opening a nine-game road trip with a 2-1 win in Oklahoma City last night, Charlotte heads to San Antonio to tangle with the Rampage… The Checkers have allowed a total of three goals during their current three-game winning streak, which continued on Matthew Pistilli‘s tie-breaking goal with 44 seconds left in regulation… San Antonio fell to 3-3-0-0 after last night’s 4-2 loss to Houston… Bill Thomas and Greg Rallo scored for the Rampage last night, and Mark Cullen had a pair of assists.

Peoria and Rockford wrap up a home-and-home at the BMO Harris Bank Center after the IceHogs grabbed a 6-4 win on the road last night… Brian Connelly had a goal and two assists; Jimmy Hayes, Ben Youds and Ben Smith notched a goal and an assist each; and Brett McLean scored his first two AHL goals since Oct. 11, 2003, helping Rockford end a three-game losing streak… The IceHogs have scored 11 goals in two games against Peoria this season, and 12 goals in their six other games… Tyler Shattock, Brett Sonne and Derek Nesbitt recorded a goal and an assist each for the Rivermen, who suffered their first regulation loss in five games (3-1-1-0).

Oklahoma City visits the Toyota Center to take on Houston tonight… The Barons defeated the Aeros, 2-0, back on Oct. 16 as Philippe Cornet scored both OKC goals and Yann Danis made 28 saves for the shutout… Jeff Taffe and Chay Genoway had a goal and an assist each in Houston’s 4-2 win over San Antonio last night… Mark Arcobello scored the only Barons goal in last night’s 2-1 loss to Charlotte… Houston, 5-1-0-2 on the year, has killed off all 15 shorthanded situations on home ice this season.
