Portland wraps up a four-game road swing on Tuesday with a visit to the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport… The Pirates are 2-0-0-1 in their last three outings and show a 6-0-1-1 mark in their last eight road games since starting the year 1-8-1-0 away from home… Pirates forward Kyle Rank is coming off a three-goal and four-point effort in Saturday’s 7-1 win at Springfield… Derek Whitmore scored twice in that win and is riding a four-game points streak (3-2-5)… The Pirates’ Tyler Ennis still leads all AHL rookies with 23 points (9-14-23) in 30 games but has just one goal in his last seven outings… Sean Bentivoglio is pacing the Sound Tigers with 20 points (10-10-20) in 31 games, and he is tied with Greg Mauldin (10-7-17) and Trevor Smith (10-6-16) for the team lead in goals… Mauldin has a point in three of his last four contests (2-3-5)… Bridgeport’s Micheal Haley shows three points (1-2-3) in two games vs. Portland and two points (0-2-2) in 18 tilts against everyone else. 
A pair of red-hot teams are set to tangle at Copps Coliseum on Tuesday when Milwaukee visits Hamilton… The Admirals enter on a season-high four-game winning streak and are coming off a 4-3 overtime win at Toronto on Monday, while the Bulldogs are 5-0-1-0 in their last six outings to pull within two points of first place in the North Division… Mike Santorelli, who scored Monday’s overtime winner, has racked up six goals and 14 points in just nine AHL games for Milwaukee this season… Cal O’Reilly’s latest scoring streak is at three games (1-3-4), and he leads the Admirals with 25 points (5-20-25) in 20 contests overall… Andreas Thuresson is riding a four-game scoring streak (1-3-4) for Milwaukee, and Nick Spaling shows a point in three straight (1-2-3)… Bulldogs goaltender Cedrick Desjardins has stopped 95 of 96 shots (0.25, .990) and has posted three shutouts during his current four-game winning streak… Hamilton leading scorer Brock Trotter (8-15-23) boasts a six-game scoring streak (4-4-8), and Ryan Russell has a point in five straight outings (4-1-5)… David Desharnais has netted a goal in three straight games (3-1-4) and in eight of his first 13 contests overall (8-7-15).
Peoria puts its three-game winning streak on the line Tuesday as it hosts Grand Rapids at Carver Arena… Rivermen goaltenders Ben Bishop and Hannu Toivonen have combined to allow just one goal in all three games of the winning streak, which is tied for Peoria’s longest run of the season… Bishop is 5-1-0 (1.49, .941) in six starts since suffering a 6-0 loss to Abbotsford on Nov. 13… Barry Tallackson has netted a goal in three straight games (3-1-4) and five of his last six (5-1-6) for Peoria… Jonas Junland ranks thid among AHL rearguards with 22 points (6-16-22) in 28 games for the Rivermen, and former first-round draft pick Lars Eller’s 20 points (4-16-20) in 23 matches rank him among the league’s rookie leaders… The Griffins, who are in the midst of a five-game road swing, are 4-1-0-0 in their last five contests overall and have taken all three meetings from Peoria so far this season… Jan Mursak has notched a goal in four of his last five games (4-2-6), and Francis Pare has three goals in his last four games after going scoreless in his first 21… Mursak (1-2-3) and rookie Tomas Tatar (2-1-3) both show three points against Peoria on the campaign.

Islanders… Also Monday, Kris Newbury netted a goal in Detroit’s 3-2 win over Phoenix after being recalled from AHL Grand Rapids earlier in the day… On Saturday, 2008 AHL All-Star Rob Schremp tallied his first career NHL goal in the N.Y. Islanders’ 3-2 overtime win over Boston.
