On Tuesday night, Kyle Turris and Viktor Tikhonov each posted a goal and an assist in San Antonio’s 4-1 win at Lake Erie… Jason Jaffray netted the game-winner against his old team as Abbotsford earned the franchise’s first-ever win, 4-2 at Manitoba… On Monday, ex-Senator Greg Mauldin scored twice, including the OT winner, to lead Bridgeport past Binghamton, 3-2… Graham Mink’s first goal in a Rochester uniform helped the Amerks to a 4-1 win over Syracuse.

LOOKING AHEAD:
East Division rivals Norfolk and Albany kick off their eight-game season series on Wednesday at the Times Union Center… The River Rats, wrapping up a four-game homestand, outscored opponents 11-3 in two victories last weekend… Jerome Samson posted four points (1-3-4) on Saturday vs. Rochester and has a team-high seven (2-5-7) through three contests… Rookie Drayson Bowman has a goal in all three games (3-2-5) thus far for the River Rats, and fellow rookie Zach Boychuk, drafted 14th overall by Carolina in 2008, sports five points (1-4-5)… Admirals rookie goaltender Dustin Tokarski registered a 26-save shutout for his first pro victory in a 2-0 win over Manchester on Saturday… Brandon Bochenski has netted two of Norfolk’s four total goals over the club’s first three contests… Blair Jones, coming off a career-high 20-goal and 54-point season a year ago, shows a goal and an assist thus far, and Ryan Craig has also scored… The River Rats are 12-for-12 on the penalty kill, and the Admirals are 0-for-15 on the power play… Albany is 12-2-0-1 at home vs. Norfolk since the beginning of the 2005-06 season.

Milwaukee makes its second visit of the young season to Peoria on Wednesday… Both clubs have been idle since the Rivermen captured a 4-3 shootout win over the Admirals last Friday… Peoria rookie Lars Eller, drafted 13th overall by St. Louis in 2007, had a goal and an assist in that contest and has three points (1-2-3) through his first three games… 2009 AHL All-Star defenseman Jonas Junland sports a team-high three goals and four points for the Rivermen in the early going… Peoria goaltender Hannu Toivonen (1-1-0, 1.98, .934) has stopped 57 of 61 shots through his first two outings of the season, and Ben Bishop made 23 saves to pick up the win against the Admirals in the teams’ first meeting… Milwaukee is in the midst of a six-game road swing to open the campaign… Cal O’Reilly, who has finished either first or second on the club in scoring for three years running, shows a team-high three points (0-3-3) through two games… Peter Olvecky (1-1-2), Mark Santorelli (1-1-2) and defenseman Robert Dietrich (0-2-2) each has two points for the Admirals.

Grand Rapids begins a three-game swing through the Lone Star State on Wednesday in Cedar Park for its first-ever meeting with the Texas Stars… The Griffins are 1-1-0-0 in a stretch that has them playing five straight away from Van Andel Arena to begin the season, having won at Peoria on Oct. 3 and lost at Toronto last Saturday… Rookie forward Dick Axelsson, a second-round draft pick by Detroit in 2006, has two points (1-1-2) and is the only member of the Griffins with more than one… Texas is 2-1-0-1 on the young campaign and took a 3-2 overtime win vs. San Antonio on Oct. 3 in its lone home outing to date… Greg Rallo tallied the OT winner in that contest, and both he and defenseman Ivan Vishnevkiy show two goals (2-0-2) on the season… Rookie Colton Sceviour has a team-high three points (0-3-3) for Texas… The Stars’ Garrett Stafford led all Grand Rapids defensemen with 45 points in 2008-09… Texas is a perfect 14-for-14 on the penalty kill through four games.

ALUMNI WATCH:
Defenseman Anton Stralman , who had 16 points in 36 AHL games with Toronto last season, notched a goal on Tuesday to help Columbus edge Calgary, 2-1… In Monday’s action, Artem Anisimov posted two assists in the N.Y. Rangers’ 7-2 win over Toronto; Anisimov led AHL Hartford with 37 goals and 81 points in 80 games in 2008-09… Goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers, a 26-game winner with AHL Springfield in 2007-08, stopped 40 of 41 shots in Edmonton’s 6-1 win at Nashville.
