Interconference foes Hamilton and Binghamton are set to do battle on Friday at the Bell Centre in Montreal, home of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens… The North Division-leading Bulldogs have a point in nine of 10 games to start the year (6-1-1-2), and the Senators bring a five-game points streak (3-0-1-1) into the weekend… Bulldogs forward David Desharnais ranks sixth in the AHL with 14 points (3-11-14) and has opened the year on a 10-game scoring streak… Aaron Palushaj has racked up nine points (2-7-9) in his first five games of the season for Hamilton, and Max Pacioretty shows three multiple-point efforts in his last four outings (3-4-7)… Binghamton has played four consecutive one-goal games, including three straight which have extended beyond regulation (1-0-1-1)… Sens forward Bobby Butler is tied for third among AHL rookies with five goals in his first nine pro games (5-2-7)… Corey Locke, a 2007 Calder Cup champion with Hamilton, has a point in eight of his first nine games with the Senators (3-7-10)… Hamilton boasts the AHL’s second-ranked power play (24.4 percent).
