Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Hershey renew their rivalry on Friday night with just one point separating them atop the East Division… The Bears (31 points) actually own the best points percentage in the conference (.775), but have played one fewer game than the Penguins (32 pts.)… Alexandre Giroux has four goals in two games against Wilkes-Barre this season, and seven goals in his last four games overall… Eric Fehr ran his scoring streak to 16 games (10g, 14a) with an assist in the Bears’ 5-4 overtime loss to Manitoba on Wednesday… J.F. Jacques has recorded a point in each of his five games since joining the Penguins last week (2g, 4a)… Jeff Deslauriers is 8-2-0 on the season for the Pens and has won his last four decisions.

Hamilton and Toronto wage a North Division battle at Copps Coliseum on Friday night (7:30 ET, Rogers Sportsnet)… The Bulldogs have won four in a row to climb into second place, while the Marlies have earned a point in four straight (3-0-1-0) and sit a point out of the fourth spot in the division… 21-year-old goaltender Jaroslav Halak is coming off a remarkable November (7-1-0, 0.82, .972, 4 SO) for Hamilton… Bulldogs defenseman Mathieu Roy, who leads the league with his plus-15 rating, has seven points in his last five games (3g, 4a)… Former ’Dog Boyd Devereaux’s hat trick led Toronto to a 4-2 win over Milwaukee on Wednesday… Erik Westrum recorded a pair of assists in that win, giving him five points in his last three games.

The tight Atlantic, with four points separating second place from sixth, sees several intradivision match-ups this weekend, including Friday’s battle between Lowell and Providence at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center… The Devils won the teams’ first meeting of the season, a 2-0 decision last Sunday with Frank Doyle making 28 saves for his second AHL shutout… Lowell’s Justin Papineau had two goals and two assists in Wednesday’s 6-2 win over Binghamton, giving him 13 points in his last seven games… The P-Bruins have dropped three in a row, and are 5-7-1-0 against Atlantic opponents this season… Rookie Kris Versteeg had 16 points in 12 games during November… Jonathan Sigalet leads all AHL defensemen with six goals on the year.
