The Houston Aeros play the 1,000th regular-season game in franchise history on Wednesday when Manitoba visits the Toyota Center… Scott Arniel, a member of the Aeros’ inaugural team in the IHL (1994-95), returns to Houston as the rookie head coach of the Moose… Houston is winless in its last four games (0-2-0-2) after a pair of shootout losses to Omaha last week… Rookie Benoit Pouliot continues to lead the Aeros with 12 goals on the year, but has gone four games without recording a point… Manitoba is coming off back-to-back wins in Peoria last week, with Drew MacIntyre stopping 62 of 63 shots total… The Aeros rank 26th in the 27-team AHL on the power play (12.6%), while the Moose are second on the penalty kill (88.1%).
