With an 8-2-1-0 record in its last 11 games, Albany hits the ice at the Pepsi Arena on Friday to host Binghamton… The River Rats have won four of the first seven meetings between the teams, but their last get-together was a 7-0 Senators victory on Feb. 12 that featured 169 minutes in penalties… Albany rookie Zach Parise is coming off back-to-back three-point games… Chris Kelly, who leads the B-Sens with a plus-18 rating, has been even or better in 29 of his last 30 games… The River Rats have been outshot by an average of 45-25 during their current three-game winning streak… The Sens are 3-0-1-1 in their last five road contests.
 
In danger of missing the postseason for the first time since 1999, Grand Rapids kicks off a big weekend by hosting Milwaukee on Friday night… The Griffins sit five points behind fourth-place Houston in the West Division, while the Admirals are nine points up on Chicago at the top… Six of the Admirals’ eight goals in four meetings with the Griffins this season have come on the power play… Milwaukee’s current 0-2-1-1 stretch marks their longest winless streak since dropping four in a row in March 2003; Grand Rapids, 25-25-1-1, has not been below the .500 mark since starting the 2002-03 season at 2-3-1… The Admirals’ Brian Finley ranks second in the AHL with 26 wins on the year.
 
A couple of teams in tense division races meet up at the DCU Center on Friday, as Worcester entertains Norfolk… The IceCats sit third in the Atlantic Division, just one point ahead of Lowell and two up on Providence… In the East, the Admirals find themselves tied with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, one point behind division co-leaders Binghamton and Philadelphia… Matt Keith, Rene Bourque and Ajay Baines are all riding four-game scoring streaks for Norfolk, which has won two of three to start a 10-game road trip… Worcester is 4-0-0 all-time against the Ads, including 4-0 and 1-0 wins in two meetings last season.
