Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, 4-2-0-0 on a six-game road swing, concludes the stretch with a Wednesday morning tilt against division-rival Bridgeport… Chris Minard, who had a hat trick in Sunday’s 4-3 win at Houston, shows six points (4-2-6) in his last two games and a league-high 10 goals for the season… Jeff Taffe has tallied at least two points in each of his last five games (6-5-11)… Mike Iggulden leads the Sound Tigers with six goals and 11 points, and ex-Penguin Kurtis McLean ranks second with 10 points (3-7-10)… Bridgeport’s power play ranks third in the AHL at 20.5 percent (15-for-73).

Winners of four in a row and seeking their 500th victory in franchise history, the Philadelphia Phantoms begin a four-game New England road trip Wednesday at Lowell against the Devils, who are coming off back-to-back losses… Two-time Calder Cup champion Boyd Kane shows four goals over his last two games for the Phantoms… Rookie Claude Giroux brings a three-game scoring streak (2-3-5) into Wednesday’s action, while defenseman Danny Syvret is on a four-game scoring run (1-5-6)… Rookie Matt Halischuk, who has five goals and eight points in six games, has rejoined Lowell after his NHL debut with New Jersey on Oct. 29… Pascal Rheaume is pacing the Devils with nine points (3-6-9) in nine games… Lowell has lost three straight on Tsongas Arena ice since winning its home opener vs. Worcester on Oct. 11.

Atlantic Division foes Portland and Worcester clash for the first time this season on Wednesday at the DCU Center… The Pirates are concluding a four-game road swing and are 4-0-1-0 in their last five games overall… Portland’s Tim Kennedy leads all AHL rookies with 12 points (3-9-12) and has found the scoresheet in each of his first eight games… Fellow first-year pro Nathan Gerbe shows a team-high seven goals (7-2-9) and has scored five of the Pirates’ nine power-play markers… The Sharks’ Tom Cavanagh had five points (3-2-5) in two games last weekend and has a team-high eight points overall (3-5-8)… Cory Larose has tallied four goals and six points in five games played… Worcester leads the AHL in both most shots on goal (37.00 per game) and fewest shots allowed (22.88).

Rockford looks to halt a brief two-game losing skid on Wednesday when it travels to Carver Arena for a tilt with in-state rival Peoria… Petri Kontiola leads the IceHogs with five goals and 10 points on the season, and Tim Brent is right behind with nine points (2-7-9)… Goaltender Antti Niemi ranks fourth in the AHL in goals-against average (1.80) and third in save percentage (.942)… Rockford boasts the AHL’s top-ranked power play at 24.6 percent (15-for-61)… Steve Regier is pacing the Rivermen with seven goals and 11 points and already has three multi-goal games… Second-year pro Julian Talbot (5-4-9) is looking to avoid his first three-game scoreless run of the season… Nicholas Drazenovic had eight points (4-4-8) in eight games against Rockford last season.
