Barracuda sign goaltender Williams

The San Jose Barracuda have signed goaltender Stephon Williams to a one-year American Hockey League contract.

Williams, 24, appeared in 24 games for the AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers last year, going 6-13-1 with a 3.08 goals-against average, an .891 save percentage and one shutout. He also appeared in eight games with Missouri (ECHL).

Williams has played 58 career games in the AHL, with a record of 24-27-2 (2.84, .899) and two shutouts.

The native of Fairbanks, Alaska, was a fourth-round draft pick by the New York Islanders in 2013.
