Bears add Besse on one-year deal

The Hershey Bears announced today the club has signed forward Grant Besse to a one-year American Hockey League contract.

Besse, 24, was the top scoring rookie in the ECHL last season, finishing with 30 goals and 32 assists for 62 points in 62 games with Norfolk. He finished the campaign with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters, totaling one goal and six assists for seven points in 11 contests.

A native of Plymouth, Minn., Besse played four seasons at the University of Wisconsin and was a fifth-round choice by Anaheim in the 2013 NHL Draft.
