Bears rally to even series in Game 2

Hershey rallied from two goals down to even their best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series with a 6-4 win over Hartford in Game 2 at Giant Center on Friday night.

The series now moves to the DCU Center in Worcester, where the Wolf Pack will host Game 3 (Sunday) and Game 4 (Monday) due to scheduling conflicts at the XL Center in Hartford.

Jakub Vrana, a first-round pick by Washington (13th overall) in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, broke a 4-4 tie with 1:17 left in the second period and Pheonix Copley (3-1) stopped all nine shots he faced in relief of Philipp Grubauer.

Tim Kennedy and Jim O’Brien each scored twice for the Bears, Nate Schmidt had a goal and two assists and Chris Conner tallied two helpers as Hershey broke through for five goals on 28 shots against Yann Danis (4-3), who had allowed nine goals on 212 shots over his first six games of the postseason.

Chris Bourque and Mat Bodie each recorded a goal and an assist for the Wolf Pack, who built a 4-2 lead before the Bears scored the final four goals of the game.
