Bears sign defenseman Geiger

The Hershey Bears announced today that the club has signed defenseman Paul Geiger to a one-year American Hockey League contract.

Geiger, 24, spent his rookie campaign with the Rochester Americans last season, skating in 49 games and registering three goals and six assists for nine points.

A native of Stouffville, Ont., Geiger appeared in nine AHL games with Albany in 2015-16 after completing his senior season at Clarkson University, notching one goal and one assist. Geiger served as team captain his junior and senior seasons at Clarkson and posted 51 points (13 goals, 38 assists) in 150 career NCAA games.
