Bears sign goalie Daubenspeck

The Hershey Bears announced today that they have signed goaltender Kirk Daubenspeck. As per club policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

Daubenspeck (6-0, 190 lbs.) had a record of 14-12-1 with four shutouts in 28 games for the Portland Pirates in 2004-05, his eighth professional season. The product of the University of Wisconsin has made 52 career AHL appearances with Portland, Worcester and Rochester, with a lifetime record of 21-24-5.

Most of Daubenspeck’s pro career has been spent in the ECHL, where he has a career record of 139-70-20 and won a league championship with South Carolina in 2001.

A native of Madison, Wis., Daubenspeck was drafted by Philadelphia in the seventh round in 1992.
