The Hershey Bears announced today the club has signed defenseman Logan Pyett and goaltender Adam Morrison to one-year American Hockey League contracts for the 2018-19 season.

Pyett is back in the AHL for the first time since missing the entire 2015-16 season recovering from a sarcoma in his leg. Pyett returned to game action last season, appearing in 26 games for Tohoku Free Blades of Asia League Ice Hockey.

Pyett, who also played two seasons (2013-15) in the KHL, has skated in 362 AHL games with Grand Rapids (2008-12) and Connecticut (2012-13), totaling 30 goals and 102 assists for 132 points.

The native of Regina, Sask., was originally selected by Detroit in the seventh round of the 2006 NHL Draft.

Morrison is a seventh-year pro who has spent the majority of his career in the ECHL, including 36 appearances with Wheeling in 2017-18.

A native of White Rock, B.C., Morrison was drafted by Philadelphia in the third round in 2009. He has played two career AHL games, both with Providence.
