Blue Jackets sign Letestu to one-year deal

The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed center Mark Letestu to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2018-19 season.

Letestu has been placed on NHL waivers for the purposes of assignment to the Cleveland Monsters, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate.

Letestu has spent the last eight seasons in the NHL and has played a total of 558 games in the National Hockey League with Pittsburgh, Columbus and Edmonton, totaling 93 goals and 117 assists for 210 points.

Letestu last skated in the AHL in 2009-10, his last of three seasons with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Letestu has recorded 51 goals and 83 assists for 134 points in 191 regular-season AHL games, as well as two goals and 14 assists in 31 postseason contests. Letestu reached the Calder Cup Finals with the Penguins in 2008.
