Blues, Rampage add nine to organization

The St. Louis Blues have agreed to terms on two-way contracts with forwards Nick Lappin, Evan Polei, Mike Vecchione and Nathan Walker and defensemen Derrick Pouliot and Jake Dotchin.

In addition, forwards Cam Darcy, Zach Nastasiuk and J.J. Piccinich have signed AHL contracts with the San Antonio Rampage.

Lappin, 26, posted 19 goals and 15 assists for 34 points in 56 AHL games with the Binghamton Devils in 2018-19. He also appeared in 11 NHL games with New Jersey.

Lappin has skated in 60 career NHL games, all with the Devils, and has recorded five goals and three assists.

In 168 career AHL contests with Binghamton and Albany, Lappin has 67 goals and 56 assists for 123 points.

Polei, 23, posted nine goals and 11 assists in 53 games for the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors in 2018-19.

In 84 career AHL contests, Polei has 13 goals and 16 assists for 29 points.

Vecchione, 26, collected 15 goals and 23 assists for 38 points in 67 games with the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms in 2018-19.

In two pro seasons with the Phantoms, Vecchione has totaled 32 goals and 46 assists for 78 points in 132 games.

Walker, 25, posted 17 goals and 22 assists for 39 points in 58 games with the AHL’s Hershey Bears last season, along with one assist in three NHL contests with the Washington Capitals.

Walker has competed in 300 AHL games with Hershey over the last six seasons, totaling 60 goals and 80 assists for 140 points. In 12 career NHL games with Washington and Edmonton, he has one goal and one assist.

Pouliot, 25, spent last season with the Vancouver Canucks, tallying three goals and nine assists in 62 NHL games.

In 200 career NHL contests with Vancouver and Pittsburgh, Pouliot has notched eight goals and 40 assists for 48 points. He has also contributed 20 goals and 50 assists for 70 points in 114 AHL games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Dotchin, 25, appeared in 20 regular-season games with the AHL’s San Diego Gulls in 2018-19, tallying four goals and three assists. He added two helpers in six playoff games.

Dotchin also had one assist in 20 NHL contests with Anaheim last season.

A sixth-round selection by Tampa Bay in the 2012 NHL Draft, Dotchin has three goals and 20 assists for 23 points in 103 career NHL games with the Ducks and Lightning. In 177 AHL matches with San Diego and Syracuse, he has totaled 15 goals and 36 assists for 51 points.

Darcy, 25, scored a career-best 10 goals and added 13 assists for 23 points in 68 AHL games with the Utica Comets last season.

Over four seasons with Utica and Syracuse, Darcy has recorded 23 goals and 43 assists for 66 points in 204 AHL games.

Nastasiuk, 24, notched five goals and six assists in 43 regular-season games with the Charlotte Checkers in 2018-19 before chipping in two goals and two assists in 19 playoff contests en route to a Calder Cup championship.

Nastasiuk has skated in 108 regular-season games in the AHL with Charlotte and Grand Rapids, totaling nine goals and 16 assists.

Piccinich, 23, made his AHL debut in 2018-19 and appeared in six games with the Toronto Marlies, picking up one assist.
