Blunden recalled by Canadiens

Montreal Canadiens General Manager Pierre Gauthier announced today that right-winger Mike Blunden has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs.

Blunden, 24, played in a total of 17 games with the Bulldogs this season, tallying 8 points (3 goals, 5 assists) and 49 shots on goal. Blunden, who is from Toronto, Ont., played in eight games with the Canadiens earlier this season, recording four shots and averaging 5:01 minutes on ice per game.

The 6-foot-4, 211-pound right-winger has suited up for a total of 59 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks, Columbus Blue Jackets and Montreal Canadiens, registering four points (two goals, two assists).
