TORONTO 3, ROCHESTER 1
Toronto scored once in each period en route to a 3-1 win over Rochester in a Wednesday afternoon matinee at Ricoh Coliseum.

Darryl Boyce, who had been scoreless in his previous nine outings, netted a pair of goals in the winning effort. Jeremy Williams also lit the lamp and goaltender Justin Pogge made 17 saves for the Marlies, who won their fourth straight game.

Williams started the game’s scoring on the power play 4:13 into the first period, his team-leading ninth goal of the campaign.

Americans defenseman Franklin MacDonald tied it with a shorthanded marker 8:17 into the second, but Boyce scored a shorthanded goal of his own for Toronto just 2:07 later to give the Marlies the lead for good.

Boyce added an insurance tally at 2:59 of the third period, and neither side scored the rest of the way.

Rochester is now winless in its last seven contests (0-6-0-1).
