Bruins get some breathing room

Eric Healey scored two goals and added an assist as Providence posted a 4-1 victory over Lowell at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on Friday night.

The victory allowed the Bruins to open up an eight-point cushion over the fifth-place Lock Monsters in the Atlantic Division standings.

Ben Walter and Jason MacDonald also scored for the Bruins, who also have four games in hand on Lowell.

Jordan Sigalet finished with 24 saves to earn the win.
