Bulldogs announce marketing campaign for 2007-08

ham-jerseys07_200.jpgThe Hamilton Bulldogs introduced their 2007-08 “FANtastic” marketing campaign today, while also unveiling the club’s new home and away Rbk EDGE jerseys to be worn during the upcoming season.

Additionally, Canadian Idol winner Brian Melo will sing the national anthem at the Bulldogs’ home opener and Calder Cup championship celebration on Friday, Oct. 12.

“FANtastic” is the Bulldogs’ new fan-friendly marketing campaign that will focus on putting fans first. The fans’ overall game-day experience will be improved with more interactive games and promotions, as well as increased giveaways and prizes. The first FANtastic initiative was the “Be a Ticket” promotion in which Bulldogs season ticket holders had an opportunity to submit photos of their family for representation on a ticket in the season tickets package. The Bulldogs have also assembled a Fan Advisory board that gives an opportunity for ‘Dogs fans to be heard.

The new-look Rbk EDGE Bulldogs jerseys will maintain the club’s traditional logo and the blue, white and red colors of their National Hockey League parent club, the Montreal Canadiens. This league-wide uniform innovation was established by Reebok with the National Hockey League earlier this year with performance and safety at the forefront of the design process.  After more than two years of research and testing, the Rbk EDGE Uniform System will debut this fall in only two leagues worldwide: the NHL and the American Hockey League.

Also at the home opener on Oct. 12, the club will give away a replica Bulldogs Calder Cup championship ring to the first 9,000 fans at the game. Also prior to the game, the ‘Dogs will host a special pre-game Calder Cup ceremony. There will be an on-ice presentation of championship rings to the players and coaching staff, and the club will raise their championship banner to the rafters at Copps Coliseum.
