Mitch Callahan scored with 3:40 left in regulation as Grand Rapids rallied for a 4-2 win over San Jose in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Wednesday night.

The Griffins lead the best-of-seven series, two games to one, heading into Game 4 on Friday.

After feeding Eric Tangradi for a great chance down low, Callahan circled the net and found a loose puck behind a sprawled-out Troy Grosenick, knocking it in for his fifth goal of the playoffs.

Matt Lorito scored the tying goal earlier in the third and Tomas Nosek added an empty-netter as the Griffins erased a 2-1 lead with less than 14 minutes remaining to improve to 5-0 on home ice this postseason.

Nathan Paetsch scored his first goal since Dec. 15 and Tangradi and Ben Street each tallied two assists.

John McCarthy and Ryan Carpenter scored for the Barracuda, who lost in regulation for the first time all year when leading after two periods (39-1-2).

Jared Coreau (9-2) finished with 31 saves; Grosenick stopped 38 of 41 in the loss.
