The Montreal Canadiens have agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with forward Riley Barber.

Barber scored 31 goals and added 29 assists for 60 points in 64 games with the AHL’s Hershey Bears in 2018-19, his fourth pro campaign. He ranked sixth in the league in goals and finished second in shots on goal (232).

Barber has appeared in 237 career AHL games, all with the Bears, and has totaled 90 goals and 90 assists for 180 points. He has added five goals and 10 assists in 38 postseason games, including a trip to the Calder Cup Finals in 2016.

A sixth-round selection by Washington in the 2012 NHL Draft, Barber made his NHL debut with the Capitals in 2016-17 and appeared in three games.
