Canucks re-sign Ebbett, Pinizzotto

The Vancouver Canucks, parent club of the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, announced Monday that the team has re-signed center Andrew Ebbett and right wing Steve Pinizzotto.

Ebbett, 29, appeared in 18 games for the Canucks in 2011-12, recording five goals and one assist, including two overtime game-winners, and added six penalty minutes.

Ebbett has played in 163 career NHL games over the span of five seasons with the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, Minnesota Wild, Phoenix Coyotes and Vancouver Canucks, collecting 58 points (24-34-58) and 44 penalty minutes.

Ebbett has played 210 games in the AHL with San Antonio, Iowa, Portland and Binghamton, recording 65 goals and 139 assists for 204 points.

Pinizzotto, 28, missed the entire 2011-12 season with the Canucks due to injury. A two-time Calder Cup champion with the Hershey Bears, Pinizzotto has totaled 34 goals, 64 assists, 379 penalty minutes and a plus-55 rating in 210 career AHL games. He also appeared in 53 postseason games with Hershey, registering 10 goals and seven assists.
