Canucks recall Mancari

The Vancouver Canucks have recalled right wing Mark Mancari from the Chicago Wolves.

Mancari tallied the eventual game-winning goal, and added an assist, in the Wolves’ 3-1 win over Grand Rapids on Dec. 11. He has posted six goals and 10 points during a current six-game point streak.

The 26-year-old forward paces the Wolves and shares 13th in the American Hockey League with 10 goals and ranks second on the Wolves with 11 assists and 21 points in 24 games this year.

The London, Ont., native ranked fifth in the AHL with a career-high 32 goals and shared 14th in the league with 64 points in 56 games with the Portland Pirates en route to being named to the 2011 AHL First All-Star Team last season. He also collected 8 points (1g, 7a) in 20 National Hockey League contests with the Buffalo Sabres last year.
