WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Matt Carkner (who has personal experience with cancer in his family), the Penguins and the American Cancer Society will be teaming up in the fight against the disease during the team’s March 30 contest against the Hershey Bears. FOLLOW UP: Matt Carkner helped to raise $8,230 for the fight against cancer at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins’ home contest against Hershey on Friday, March 30. He wore a special warm-up jersey during pre-game on Friday, which featured pink numbering, lettering and highlights, as well as a pink ribbon symbolizing the fight against breast cancer. MORE…
