Chicago turns up offense on Stars in win

Jordan LaVallee tallied twice and Colin Stuart recorded four points (1g, 3a) as the Chicago Wolves routed the visiting Iowa Stars by a score of 7-0 at Allstate Arena to take a 1-0 series lead in the West Division Final.

Michael Garnett stopped all 28 shots he faced to hand the Stars their first shutout in Calder Cup Playoffs in franchise history.

Andre Deveaux, Niko Dimitrakos and Kevin Doell each scored a goal and an assist as the Wolves extended their winning streak to five games to begin the Calder Cup playoffs.

Jason Krog also tallied for the Wolves, who look for a 2 games to 0 lead against Iowa in Game 2 set for Friday.
