Comcast to air Calder Cup Finals

The Philadelphia Phantoms announced on Wednesday that Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia and CN8 are scheduled to televise four games from the best-of-seven 2005 Calder Cup Finals between the Phantoms and the Chicago Wolves.

Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia will televise Game 2, Game 5 (if necessary) and Game 6 (if necessary), while CN8 will show Game 7 (if necessary).

The Phantoms’ broadcast team for both networks includes play-by-play announcer Tim Saunders and color commentator Steve Coates. Saunders is in his fourth season as the Phantoms’ television play-by-play voice and has been the Philadelphia Flyers’ radio play-by-play announcer for the past seven years. Coates has been a member of the Emmy-winning Flyers’ broadcast team since 1980, including the last seven years as television color commentator.

All seven games will also air locally on Comcast Cable in Chicago, featuring Wolves annuoucers Judd Sirott and Billy Gardner.
