Condors sign Oilers pick Roy

The Bakersfield Condors announced today that Marc-Olivier Roy has been signed to an American Hockey League contract.

 

The center had 192 points (86g-106a) in 229 games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with Blainville-Boisbriand and Quebec, and made a Memorial Cup appearance last season with the Remparts as the host team and had five points (1g-4a) in five games.
 
Roy, a native of Boisbriand, Quebec, played three seasons in Blainville-Boisbriand under current Condors Assistant Coach J-F Houle.
 
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound forward was drafted in the 2nd round (No. 56 overall) by the Edmonton Oilers in 2013.
