Coyotes ink Latta to two-way contract for 2017-18

The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the team has signed forward Michael Latta to a one-year, two-way contract.

The 26-year-old Latta recorded five goals and 17 assists for 22 points along with 128 penalty minutes in 61 AHL games between Ontario and Rockford last season.

Latta has skated in 244 career regular-season games in the AHL with Rockford, Ontario, Hershey and Milwaukee, totaling 43 goals and 79 assists for 122 points, along with 562 PIM.

The St. Clements, Ont., native was originally drafted by Nashville in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft. He has collected four goals and 13 assists for 17 points, as well as 130 PIM, in 113 career NHL games, all with Washington.
