Coyotes sign Bolduc

The Phoenix Coyotes, parent club of the AHL’s Portland Pirates, announced today that they have signed unrestricted free agent center Alexandre Bolduc to a one-year contract.

As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Last season, the 26-year-old native of Montreal appeared in 24 NHL games with Vancouver, recording two goals, two assists and 21 penalty minutes. He also played in 26 games in the American Hockey League with the Manitoba Moose and posted six goals and nine assists; he added four goals in 14 Calder Cup Playoff games in 2010-11.

Bolduc spent parts of each of the last six seasons with Manitoba, recording 45 goals and 62 assists for 107 points in 233 AHL games. He also has two goals and three assists in 46 career NHL contests with Vancouver.

Bolduc was originally drafted by St. Louis in the fourth round (127th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
