Coyotes sign forward Jeffrey

The Arizona Coyotes, parent club of the AHL’s Springfield Falcons, have signed forward Dustin Jeffrey to a one-year, two-way contract.

The 27-year-old Jeffrey recorded 25 goals and 39 assists for 64 points in 69 AHL games between Utica and Bridgeport last season.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound native of Sarnia, Ont., has totaled 81 goals and 147 assists for 228 points in 272 AHL games, and was a Calder Cup champion with Texas in 2014. He also participated in the AHL All-Star Classic in 2010.

Jeffrey was originally drafted by Pittsburgh in the sixth round (171st overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, and has recorded 17 goals and 14 assists for 31 points in 124 career NHL games with Pittsburgh and Dallas.
