Crunch earn spot in postseason

The Syracuse Crunch have clinched a spot in the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs.

The Crunch’s 6-2 win over Binghamton, combined with Laval’s 4-0 loss to Toronto, made Syracuse the second club to punch its postseason ticket.

The Crunch are the defending Eastern Conference champions, reaching the Calder Cup Finals in 2017 for the second time in five years.

The AHL’s 2017-18 regular season ends Sunday, Apr. 15; for more information and daily updates on the Calder Cup Playoff races, check out the official AHL Playoff Primer.
