Crunch GM BriseBois promoted by Lightning

Julien BriseBois, who has spent eight seasons as general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s AHL affiliates, has been promoted to GM of the NHL club.

BriseBois, 41, joined the organization in 2010 and has served as general manager of the Norfolk Admirals (2010-12) and Syracuse Crunch (2012-18). Under BriseBois, the Admirals won a Calder Cup championship in 2012, and the Crunch reached the Finals in 2013 and 2017.

BriseBois had previously spent nine years in the Montreal Canadiens organization in various capacities, and oversaw hockey operations of the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs in their Calder Cup championship year of 2006-07. He served as GM of the Bulldogs from 2007-10.

With BriseBois serving as their AHL general manager, the Lightning have developed numerous players through their AHL system, including Tyler Johnson, Nikita Kucherov, Ondrej Palat, Yanni Gourde, Alex Killorn, Cory Conacher, Anthony Cirelli and Andrei Vasilevskiy.
