Crunch slip past Moose

Brad Moran scored twice and Karl Goehring made 39 saves as Syracuse defeated Manitoba, 5-3, on Thursday night at the Onondaga County War Memorial.

With the win, the Crunch moved to within three points of fourth place in the North Division.

Mark Hartigan had a goal and an assist and Tim Jackman added two assists for Syracuse, which built up a 4-2 lead by the 7:36 mark of the second period, chasing starting goaltender Alex Auld from the Moose net.

Josh Green had a goal and an assist for Manitoba, which remains 11 points behind Rochester for the North Division lead.

WORCESTER 3, SAN ANTONIO 1
Jeff Hoggan, Blake Evans and Erkki Rajamaki scored to lead Worcester to a 3-1 win over visiting San Antonio.

Eric Boguniecki and Mike Mottau each had two assists, and Alfie Michaud made 18 saves.

Josh Olson scored the lone goal for the Rampage.
